Medical Tech/Medical Lab Tech
Currently looking for a Medical Tech/Medical Lab Tech in the northern area of Michigan.
The ideal candidate will conduct laboratory testing on patient specimens including:
chemical and hematological testing of blood or body fluids, and microbiological cultures of various body sites.
The responsibilities of the Medical Tech/Medical Lab Tech Conducts laboratory testing on patient specimens including:
chemical and hematological testing of blood or body fluids, and microbiological cultures of various body sites.
Meticulous attention to detail; Critical thinking skills.
Able to make decisions dependent on an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, principles, instruments, and their inter-relationship.
There are two current openings:
Monday through Friday 3pm - 11pm Sunday through Thursday (11pm - 7am) Requirement of the Medical Tech/Medical Lab Tech Certification as MLT (ASCP, AMT, AD) or CLT.
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Must be able to perform venipuncture Understanding and tactful with patients, visitor, and co-workers.
Has the ability to handle pressure and stress with composure and emotion stability.
Personally committed to strive for excellence in quality of laboratory service provided.
About the Facility This facility is state of the art critical access hospital nestled in the pristine Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
